IRU response to impact of new accounting standards on HERDC
The IRU has responded to the Department of Education and Training’ draft 2019 higher education research data collection (HERDC) Specifications which have been published for sector feedback.
This involves technical changes around the requirements to provide research and experimental development income data to the department.
The IRU supports the changes to national accounting standards – however questions the potential impact on the data sets for the Higher Education Research Data Collection (HERDC) that drive the allocation of research block grants (RBGs).
