Global WIL 2020 Modules

This is an online professional learning program for staff, developed by representatives of four national associations: Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN); Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning Canada (CEWIL); New Zealand Association of Cooperative Education (NZACE); and The Vilar Network (Sweden).

Global Perspectives in Work-Integrated Learning provides practitioners with the opportunity to enhance their understanding of the relationship between WIL and learning theory; and how theory informs WIL from a global perspective.

The four modules offered in 2020 are:

  1. Global Perspectives in Work-Integrated Learning
    Provides practitioners the opportunity to enhance their understanding of the relationship between WIL and learning theory; and how theory informs WIL from a global perspective.
  2. Industry/Community Engagement for WIL
    Provides practitioners with the opportunity to further their understanding of the fundamental importance of industry/community engagement for WIL and to improve strategies to enhance this engagement.
  3. Dimensions of Quality
    For WIL Provides practitioners with the opportunity to explore the concept of quality in a WIL context from the perspective of all stakeholders and to reflect on practice and identify improvements to the quality of WIL programs.
  4. Learning and Assessment in WIL
    This module explores contemporary learner characteristics, designing WIL curriculum and developing an authentic assessment profile.
